Thanksgiving is coming up in a few days and I cannot help but reflect on where I am in life today and how I got here.

Like many, life can be difficult, challenging, frustrating, and overwhelming at times.

However, where there is rain and darkness, there is also sunshine and so much to be grateful for!

I do not know about you, but I can get stuck sometimes dwelling on the negatives.

The things that are going wrong.

The mishaps, mistakes, and feeling that I am never getting enough done.

Although it can be beneficial to recognize our shortcomings and failures, it is never beneficial to reside in that space.

If you do, productivity and forward progress become stagnant, eventually becoming nonexistent.

Instead, although easier said than done, it is important to provide guided focus towards growth, learning, adapting, and evolving.

Which brings me to my point of being extremely thankful and grateful for where I am today.

I have not reached even a fraction of my goals.

I have not learned even a fraction of what I would like to learn.

I have not become even a fraction of the man I am striving to become.

BUT, I am thankful for the opportunity to improve upon every single aspect of my life in hopes of becoming just a little bit better each day.

I am thankful for the people that surround me, support me, and have helped me become the person I am today.

I am thankful for the opportunities and experiences that I have had the privilege of being a part of.

I am thankful for my failures and frustrations that have provided me with the ability to learn and positively progress.

I am thankful for so many things in life, good and bad, because they have brought me to where I am today and provided me an opportunity to become better tomorrow.

I truly hope that you can find some time this week to think of what you are thankful and grateful for, the good, the bad, the ugly and realize how much you have left to accomplish.

I hope that you have a great Thanksgiving week with your family and friends.

Keep getting after it!
